I'm a first-time flock owner and got myself a mixture. They are all about four months ( a little older maybe) One of my silkie chicks is looking quite a bit different than the others and thought she/he might be mixed. Then I I have 2 bantams, one seems obviously male and the other female, but I can not figure their breed. can anyone help?

Thank you! I was thinking that they were black australorps! Exciting, they are beautiful birds. Can you explain the details of the comb that make my silkie a cockeral? I have 3 more silkies I'd like to examine and compare. haha

The Silkie looks like a mix and a cockerel. The black ones look like a Black Australorp, are you sure they are bantams?

That silkie roo is definitely mixed...he doesn't have the typical walnut comb...here's my young silkie cockerel with his very obvious walnut comb.

yes I have three other silkies that this one does not match. Also, the comb is turning a deep purple, not sure if that's normal or not. The others comb are not as obvious to tell their colors.
