Need help identifying chick

I would guess silkie on silkie from those traits. But it can be hard to see at a month old.

Ok, maybe a few weeks from now I can upload some more pictures.

It also looks like one to me, but I've never seen one (picture or otherwise) that is dark grey with brown like mine does.

I believe it’s blue in color.

Definitely looks like blue silkie, but the mottling on the feathers looks a bit dark Brahma to me

Exactly, that’s why I think it’s a silkie.

You said that you thought it looked like a Brahma, which is why I said it’s not because this chick has a crest unlike a Brahma.

Oh no, I meant that it prob has a blue silkie parent and a Brahma parent. I think we’re on the same page! Though I’ll admit, I don’t know anything about breeding!

Yep- that’s what I was trying to say- though I don’t think I was very clear about it
