I agree with millebantam 100% as well. These marks are caused by a bird taking off. The marks are where the birds' wing feathers hit the ground when they initiate flight. That's why there isn't any other tracks in the area. The marks are probably from a crow or hawk investigating your coop. They're looking for an easy meal. An owl won't land if the chickens aren't visable to them at night.
I see these marks all of the time. Usually from native pheasants visiting my coop.
100% wing tips though.

I showed the pictures to my husband when he got home. He chuckled, and pointed out that any kind of normal predator would not leave 5 claw marks, only 4. Of course, he had no explanation, but I did feel kind of silly. The marks just looked so evil walking into the run in the morning. My run is completely covered on all sides, even the top. Could a crow or hawk get in and then out through chainlink and/or 2x4 welded wire? There are no other gaps.

I've had these visuals of my girls unlatching their popdoor during the night, tiptoeing out, making furtive glances at each other, and saying, "This will really freak mom out!" As they snicker. Naughty teenagers, they are all grounded!!
