@TheAlrightyGina @Overo Mare @EmmaRainboe @RoostersAreAwesome question about Audrey after looking at her photos again and watching her forage around the yard if she was cockerel would she not have more of a flowing tail by now? Instead of the fluff ball she has?
I'm not on either side of the rooster v hen debate but I will say Audrey's feathers seem to be in fairly poor condition, the lack of tail isn't normal for Wyandotte, Wyandotte mixes or any breed except Araucana I suppose (rumpless) and I think thats due to bad nutrition, possibly damage? From their last home I mean : D No matter what the gender/sex may be the tail should regrow/grow in within the coming months <3 Keep us updated!!

What about the fact that she doesn’t have spurs like 99.9%cockles do
Almost all of my cockerels don’t start getting spurs until at least 5 months. I’ve had them not even come in until 8 months to a year. Spurs don’t tell gender.

I do believe that Audrey is a cockerel. :)

It's been a while since I've had large fowl roosters, when do they get spurs? :O it took our last 3 bantam cochin boys well over a year to get noticeable spurs, haven't had a large fowl boy in easily 5 years xD

I know it’s definitely a pullet because she’s raising 2 ducklings during the day a cockerel wouldn’t do this or show this show sort of behaviour (at night I bring the ducklings in to keep them warm and safe) will try and get some better photos of her
Yeah, its a pullet, we had a barnevelder at 10 weeks old and she had a bigger comb than that and it turned out it was a hen! (i have 3 hens with spurs!)
