Need HELP! Is there a way to reduce or stop rooster crowing!

Have you researched ducks and how well they get along with chickens?

Yes I have and a lot of people have them together and say they don't fight and are great with each other.

Also, you need to make sure your ducklings are both female. If you end up with a drake, you may have a similar problem as you would with a cockerel as regards overmating, except that if he tries to mate with the hen which is likely, he can cause serious injury. I used to keep ducks and hens and whilst I liked the ducks, they are extremely messy creatures and can turn a puddle into a muddy pond in no time at all. I much prefer just keeping chickens now.

I do think your little hen would prefer a friend of her own species to keep her company on the roost etc, even if you still get the ducks.

I won't keep a male/drake.... I am getting 10 (8 mixed, 2 sexed females) then Im going to sell the 8 other ones and only keep the 2 females.

Maybe I will get her a chicken friend. Has to be a bantam tho.... What breeds besides another mille fleur (which is what she is) would be good to be her friend. A slikie, etc?

Silkies don't usually roost in my limited experience because they can't fly and if there are only 2 of them it will be best if they can snuggle up together on the roost at night I would say, so maybe a bantam cochin or something. I'm not really familiar with bantams so perhaps someone else could help out with a suggestion.

Thanks for the help anyway! I just want her to have 1 friend. I have seen cochin aren't they really fluffy and sorta big? I want something more her size or smaller... This is what she looks like

I believe there are bantam and large fowl cochins.
