Need help modifying coop

I got a free coop to get started back into some laying hens and plan to have about 6. Since it is a simple design need ideas on how to modify it to keep my chickens healthy and happy. Plan to have them free range during the day. there are no nests so need to add some nests and roosts. the box that exists is only about 2 feet high by 2 feet deep and 8 feet long. I'm going to post a few pics when I figure out how! any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Haven't had chickens in 20 yrs now so starting from scratch, no pun intended hehe
