Guys about 1 month ago my hen got a big gash in her side from my Rooster while he was matting her. She needed stitches but we cleaned it, applied Neosporan and rapped it daily. The wound completely healed and we put her with the rest of her flock. Today upon examining her I noticed that she has lost some weight to the point you can see her hip bones. Her comb and waddle looks pale and she doesn't have much energy. I also noticed she had these Chicken pox things on her face which I believe is from mosquitoes. What could be going on with her. I isolated her and have her some Nutri-Drench. I also applied some in her water.

She looks very weak. Her comb and waddles are shrunken. It looks like she's been pecked at quite a bit. Check her over for lice or mites. Keep her isolated and warm. The nutri-drench is a good place to start. How old is she?

About 1to 1 1/2 years. She's such a sweetheart. How often should I give the recommended dosage of Nutri-Drench? Could I give it multiple times a day?

Not really. Definitely no smell. I was thinking possibly she could have an infection from getting split with the spur? We didn't stitch it but bandaged it. She's got those chicken pox things also so maybe that could be another infection in her body? Maybe Penicillin could clear it up. She ate an entire wheat wrap just now. It's only 70 calories but she's only 2 pounds. Hopefully she gets her strength back. Any other high calorie treats you can think of?

I don't believe its chicken pox, but peck marks from other chickens. She should have chicken feed available. Maybe feed a little scrambled egg or even plain yogurt, but other than that she should really eat her feed until she gets back on her feet. Plus adding the nutri-drench should really help her. Is her comb getting any color back?

Not yet. It's about the same. She was eating really good like she was starving. I'm going to give her the Nutri-Drench every 8 hours, feed her some oatmeal and wheat wraps.
