I really hope she recovers. I am so scared to find one of my ladies like that. I just dont know if I could handle it! I am very attached to them. I really hope she pulls through for you. I will be thinking of you and her, please keep us posted. Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!

Yes, it looks bad, but it really only looks like the skin got removed, which is good considering it could be a lot worse.

Keep her inside in a dark, warm, quiet area and periodically encourage her to drink (don't push food just yet). When she looks stabilized you can gently clean the wound, put antibiotic cream on it (you'll have to search on here for the specific type), and wrap her neck in gauze. Clean it periodically and check for infection.

She seems happy but her pupils are dialating then getting smaller she's twitching and breathing wierd but I'm feeling more confident
:/

I'm so sorry

She may pull through - I had a chick who had a similar injury, caused by her mom and she is fine now, one year later.

Those could all be signs of shock or brain damage, and only time will tell which it is. Take care of the shock first and see if the symptoms persist after that. If so, you'll have to weigh her quality of life to decide whether or not to cull her. If it's something she can live with happily then she may be just fine.

she has mainly returned to herself (personality wise) but she leans off to the side and wont drink! its hard to help when they are not cooperationg!

try adding some honey or sugar to the water and gently putting her beak in it.

Another way you can try to get water in her is with really watery foods such as grapes, tomatos, watered down yogurt with scratch in it, or taking some pellets and adding water and scratch to it to get fluids into her
