Is the breed just called Asian or is it mixed or something elseView attachment 1506473 looks like my Asian. here is a pic. hope it helps either way![]()
when I purchased these it just said Asian. the picture at tractor supply had pictures of them laying black eggs. I also have an Asian black hen that lays brown eggs. I am assuming they are different but when I came home to look up just an Asian I couldn't find any info on them. I even tried looking at tractor supply site. so I'm of no help here, I have been trying to figure that out myself. Is the breed just called Asian or is it mixed or something else

I know australorps have white as chicks, but I think it’s too much white. I’m going with mottled Orpington.
That’s all true, but it varies from time to time and tractor supply to tractor supply. One could be selling asils and another one sells gold laced polish.Hatchery stock australorps legs vary. Go into any hatchery and look at picture of their australorp chick legs. Some have a lot of black and some have little or even vary Little Black. This changes as they age.
Plus Mottled chicks tend to have much much much more white/yellow on them then this chick from my expierence. Then again hatchery stock can vary.
To my knowledge of working for TSC I wasn’t aware we sold Mottled orphingtons.
