hello we hatched this peafowl this year, July 2016. we are trying to figure out what kind will be when it matures, the breeding pair that this one was hatched from were Indian blue (as pure as can be no white flight feathers). this breeding pair also hatched a cameo. any help with this would be appreciated, thank you (also does anyone know if it would be male or female?)

Thank you out of curiosity how do you figure that out, im newer to peafowl and trying to learn as much as possible

You said that they produced that BS chick and a Cameo chick. To produce a Black Shoulder chick, both parents have to carry the BS gene. To produce a Cameo chick the cock must also carry the Cameo gene.

What do you mean label is not full lacks one color? New to peafowl trying to learn as much as possible

Black shoulder is a pattern ... not a colour !
There are something like 12 different colours .... Purple .... Cameo .... Midnight ... etc .A peacock has always one colour + one or more pattern + eventually a certain percentage of green blood ( spalding ).
If they say your peahen is a Black shoulder .... which colour ??? the really name is Blue Black shoulder. And like Gerald say there is a little bit spalding ( very few ) because she is a little brown.(a pure Blue Black shoulder would be creamy white) .

Almost always one color + one or more pattern.
