Need help reconnecting with my duck

I left my duck with a friend while i left for a business trip for 2 months and when i came back my duck was afraid of me every time i get near him he runs away to my friend and when my friend isn't around he hides from me i don't know what to do hopefully you guys can help me

@Psyduckowner420 time and slow. Your duck has bonded with your friend because that is how they cope with new homes. Best thing to do is sit quietly and offer treats don't push your duck into doing anything he is uncomfortable with like trying to pet or hold him. I use Dried Meal worms when trying to gain the trust of a duck. Sitting quietly talking softly and some handful of treats will help but it will all take time. Is your duck a house duck ?are there other flock members besides him?
