Hey guys. I got my quail eggs in the mail today and they have been sitting for about 8 hours now. I'll set them once they reach ten hours. The problem here is that even though I made my bator bottom with non slip liner, it's having difficulty holding eggs. I tried placing one of the eggs I won't be incubating due to a crack, and it's rolling all over the place. Should I set them inside the carton? My concern was that they wouldn't receive heat all around. What should I do guys? Really need ur help

Here's how the carton looks like.

I ended up making a little egg holder out of the carton. What do u guys think?

I think it looks good :)
They should be fine, I incubate in cartons all the time. Not quail, but chicken eggs. They pop right out of the shells and leave the mess in the cup, which is a bonus!

Good luck!

Thanks :D I might need to remove them on lock down though

I don't think it will be a problem either way. I usually leave mine in to cut down on mess, but have taken them out and laid them on their sides at lockdown. I've never noticed a difference.

Best of luck with your eggs!
