need help sexing 5 week old Blue Marans!

7 week update. Chick #3 went to a new home last week as he was surely a he.

Chick #1 Looking pretty safe this is a pullet

chick #2. . . . Im still stumped. Comb and wattels havent grown since last week but he/she sure has gotten red! No crowing attempts or roo behavior

Wow, congrats on #1! Unfortunately, I also have no idea on this second chick... guess it's a waitandsee bird.

Well they are 8 weeks old this weekend and I feel pretty safe in saying they are both pullets!

My ladies are now 16 weeks. thanks everyone for all your help. I will post photos when they lay their first eggs.

Now I have another 7 weeker in question. My instincts say roo based on comb and wattle size but he really isnt very pink??

That's not screaming Roo to me for seven weeks. I would lean toward a pullet.

Beautiful birds! So glad they turned out to be pullets for you Your new 7 weeker doesn't look that far off from your other two - hopefully another pullet.

8 week update on this blue copper. I'm kind of thinking boy, what do you all think? But then I look back at those last 2 that turned out to be pullets and they werent much different, this one has just a slightly larger comb?

Wattles too.... 8 weeks is early for wattles.

I dont have a photo at the moment but that little one turned out to be a pullet also. 12 weeks now and the comb and wattles havent grown a bit since those last photos I posted
