Can I get some tips on turning a really old cradle into a brooder? Cradle is beyond repair and not fit for human babies - but it's really nice wood and I don't want it to go to waste.

To cover the space between the upright bars I would use some "plastic Fencing"[IMG].
As it is already in the house there shouldn't be any drafts and it will be well ventilated and -
bonus you will be able to see what they are doing.
