NEED HELP!!! What gender is my pekin duck?

My ducks are just over 4 months and my male pekin already has his drake feathers and at the age that she is at she should be quacking(a lot) and should have drake feathers. She does have a house but just flies out. She has our whole property and she can escape from anything. She is my first duck (I rescued her when she was a duckling) and I am not experienced in clipping wings.

Pekin ducks should not be able to fly, I am pretty sure the only domestic flying ducks are calls and Muscovies, mallards too if you count them as domestic. I have never had any other breed get more than a few feet off the ground. If you can't catch her at night to clip her wings and if the treats don't work then try getting a big fishing net and catch her while she is eating.

If she isn’t fenced in where she would be safe I don’t think I’d clip her wings. She is a Pekin and she flies? That’s a new one don’t hear about many Pekins flying.

Maybe more pics would help is she heavy or small like a Mallard?

I don't believe that 'she' is a Pekin - body type is all wrong for that. May be a white mallard or a call, and I sort of lean towards drake.

She could have "more" mallard in her so she might be a bit lighter, but then and there I don't know much about duck genes.

Yes!!! My buff ducks are the nosiest duck I have ever met! Everybody that comes over says that whenever they get out of there car hear the ducks!!!

The way her bill and neck are makes me think she is a white mallard.
