Need help; white leghorn? hen or cock?

I'm quite new to this backyard keeping but I think my white leghorn is a cock, he doesn't crow though or lay eggs, and today I noticed he kept trying to jump on my hens backs.

Please help if you know the difference.

Ya, you have a young cockerel, saddle feathers, male tail feathers etc. He does look fairly hefty for a Leghorn though, could he be a White Rock?

When do they start crowing? I don't want to get rid of him.

It depends. Some roosters crow at 6 weeks, others not closer to 6 months.

X2, it just depends on the rooster, average is probably around 4-6 months, but some will be a lot earlier, others later.

He was purchased last May, he is 8 months.
