Need help with 2 birds...

Here's a pic I found on a website of White Sussex (look at the roo pecking at the ground):

And here is Yeller, my roo:

Here is also a website that has some good pics of the Whites (you might have to scroll a bit to find them, didn't want to take the pics because they are copyrighted)

The roos look so much alike! I am so excited that we may have a breed for him!

Good point now that theres another pic he does look more like an Orpington.

That first pic had him looking so much like a RIW/single comb it really had me on this one.

So I say Wt. Orpington or poss. a Wt. Sussex which as was mentioned by OP is quiet rare.

The UK has several more varieties, breeds, etc. than we have in the US. And thanks to hatcheries, several breeds look alike and cannot be separated. If the color is rare in the UK, doubtless it is almost non-existent in the US.

Thanks for the pic!

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Yeller has a couple of tail feathers that are longer than the others....I didn't see on the White Orpington if it has some long tail feathers?

Yes, tails vary in length and size. For every breed. Yeller is older than the bird in the photo by another poster. Your birds sickle feathers are just more developed. He will probably get more length to them as he ages and molts.
