There is a first time for everythingThis is kind of comical for me because I hatch hundreds of chicks every year and this silly little goose has me stumped.

Be patient, she is just a baby and does not have anyone to emulate , right?Well...she will eat out of the cup but again only if I'm holding it in her face. View attachment 2561174
It took some real convincing too. lol

Yeah, if there were more than one they’d copy each other and figure it out faster. So I suppose this is primarily because she's the only gosling then. I told my friend what to expect, she has some chicks and she will put one with her. They're almost 5 weeks old so she doesn't want to put them all in there and then we could always get a chick at the feed store even though I have 22 eggs in the incubator and 50 more on the way, lol...none hatching for a few weeks though. Oops!
Lucky little goose to have you helping her along! She's doing great! Thanks for checking in on her! She went to her forever home and has some little chick friends now. She's also eating with minimal persuasion. She was just a late bloomer I guess, lol. It took several days of hand feeding.
Quite wobbly still and oh so hungry! Try the soup and she might just eat without further help.
