Need help with breed! (and maybe gender)

Hi. We got a chicken egg off a friend's neighbour and hatched it, the chicken is now almost 12 weeks; it had a large comb and wattle at 8 weeks and grew very quickly, however, it's stopped/slowed down now and we don't know what breed or gender it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a barnyard mix. With the tail feathers like that, I would think its going to Cock-A-Doodle-Doo.

Thanks Guys! We have a black rock hen with a huge tail and I was hoping this one might be the same, but obviously not. Does anyone know when the crowing starts and the spurs appear?

Crowing usually starts around 4 months, when the pointed hackle and saddle feathers come in. They dont usually have much of a spur until they are almost a year old, it starts off as a round bump.

He's a mixed breed cockerel. I'm not sure what breeds could have gone into him (its very difficult to determine the parents of cross breeds), but he might have some Columbian Rock or Light Sussex in him.
