Need help with breed and sex if possible

Here is a picture from this morning. The feathers don't appear to be pointed, but rounded and the black markings make them look pointed. That one also doesn't have the same feather texture the red one has or the the other male, the wet looking feathers.

I agree that it does not seem to have the male-type saddle feathers now.

But that could mean it is female, or it could mean a young male who just has not grown those feathers yet. That's why I think it needs more time to be clear one way or the other.
