Hey guys
I just got some Rhode island Reds yesterday and I kept a desktop lamp on them to keep them warm. My brother accidently thought that the lamp was keeping them awake and so he turned it off. 2 of the 3 chicks passed away
but one of them survived. She has been weak all day and is not eating or drinking any water. I have kept that lamp on and a heat dish on it the entire day but it still seems weak. It has shown signs of getting better then it gets worse and it is fluctuating between recovery and deep sickness. I cant seem to get it to eat and it can barely open its eyes. I have gotten the special heating bulb for chickens (the one with the red color over the bulb) but for now what should I do about that chick to help her survive? I bought some more to keep her company and make sure she does not feel isolated and we have tried making her drink water and eat. I am not sure what i can do to make her eat or drink or even make her feel better. Their little nesting box is currently pretty toasty and warm and there is hay and everything. I truly need help.
