Welcome to BYC!

We are all very patient here and many of our members are not only loaded with the knowledge, but very helpful as well!

You can start by doing some reading in our learning center here on BYC. Lots of good reads on all the aspects of keeping poultry and getting started....

Take a look at our coop pages too. Lots of good ideas on coops and some of them have some really detailed plans...

There are lots of nice breeds out there, depending on if you are looking for pets, eggs, meat, or all three. Here is a couple of nice breeds pages that give you some quick info on each breed...

This should get you started. If you have any further questions, that is what we are here for. Welcome to our flock and enjoy this new journey you are on!
