This is my first batch of meat birds
I bought 18 birds from ts for 50 cents about 5 weeks ago I figure for meat birds cant beat it
3 of them were cornish rocks Idk what the others are. They were all the same age. 2 of the cornish rocks died at 3 weeks within days of each other. And today the last one has a big gaping hole in his back end. I think he has been pecked. None of the other birds appear to be pecked. Seems like they just ganged up on the cornish rocks.
I removed him from population. I am planning to have them butchered on the 18th. Will this guy make it? Or should I dispose of him now? Will the meat be tainted because of this injury? And if not what should I do first aid wise for him?
