Because it’s a hell of a lot better for a duckling than wild bird food.

Lol most definitely. But I was assuming Tractor Supply probably has something for waterfowl.. at least the tractor supply near where I live has quite a few waterfowl options. It just makes it easier than having to mix Extra vitamins with chick starter!

Omg so many idk which one to believe !

And that's why I said facts matter. This is literally one of the only studies with facts about duck food anybody else has one please post it.

Get a chick starter grower with no more than 20% protein. Get some probiotics for the water if you can. It’s not necessary, but it helps. Ask for help finding niacin. If you can’t find niacin, buy some nutritional yeast and sprinkle it on the feed and give them peas and grit. They love diving for peas in pools of water and need grit to digest the peas. Get chick grit because it’s a bit smaller and easier for little bills.

My tractor doesn’t have duckling food, none of my 5 farm supply stores have anything but 5 lb bags of duck feed (not duckling).

Just because you can easily find duck food doesn’t mean everyone else can.

Ok that is true. However her duck is not 0 to 2 weeks. Therefore 20% protein you'll be too high especially since she has a heavy breed duck. More protein is just going to pack on extra weight(which will make it tougher for the ducklings legs) and be more difficult for the kidney and liver.

Obviously you got to work with what you can get, but it's always good to try to find exactly what you need and work outwards from there.

I was under the impression all Tractor Supplies have the same stuff!

Ok ok ok enough with this ...what's the BEST duck food I can have to get my duck feeling better if that's the case???

Lol I put up the screen shot two times already.

Any food that resembles those ingredients. It doesn't matter the brand name, the size, or if it says it's for a Tyrannosaurus Rex. If it has those ingredients you will be alright.

Fyi the study was on a Pekin so I would highly advise you to read it!
