So this baby in question is attempting to nurse off another doe who is not its biological mother? That makes a little more sense, if so.

Still, with a sudden unwillingness to nurse the baby, I would suspect mastitis or a clogged teat duct before beginning to think the doe suddenly went dry.

What are you feeding the milking mama, and how is she acting? Does she have access to minerals?

Yes she dose and we ar giving her something that help with milk

I'll just add, if you're going to breed any more kids then learn how to milk the mother and save some of the milk from the first week. You can freeze it. We used to do that here for the lambs. The mothers often ran dry or got mastitis.

What breed of goat is the mom, by the way? I do know that Boer goats can be notoriously bad mothers...I've seen cases where the mom had to be made to nurse the babies

Interesting that this happens so often in sheep. I've heard of that before. Sheep are one of the few animals I haven't kept before, they sound like such high maintenance animals.

She is not bore she is a norrean or something like that

We got the baby when she was one day old and the mama had lost her baby 3 days before we put it on her but up till now she has feed he no problem

Have you closely checked mama for mastitis or signs of infection?

Does the udder still look that full? Does it feel hot to the touch and tight?

Mastitis is an infection of the udder... makes it painful to nurse and baby can’t get milk/gets pus

I’ve only dealt with that once and the lambs were much older... we had to cull the mother
