My 2 year old RIR has had a rough go. First she got vent gleet. The vet took care of that. Then she had bumble foot, that healed very nicely. Now she won’t use the leg that had bumble foot, she stopped laying, her eye is swollen almost shut, she rattles when she breathes. What is this?

Do you see any green bruising, swelling or redness along her leg or foot? Does she hold the leg up or put weight on it? Pictures of her might help. A swollen eye and congestion sound like a possible respiratory disease, such as MG. Have you seen any MG or Mareks disease in your flock before?

Her leg looks normal. No bruising or redness. She holds the leg up. What is MG? This is the first time I’ve had a hen this sick. I treated one for gape worm and she is fine.
