I am thinking about getting new baby chickens and geese. I live in Florida and already have chickens and ducks. I would like to get breeds that are friendly with other birds and humans.

What breeds of chickens and ducks do you have currently? That could make a difference in what breeds you choose.

If for instance, you went with silkies, who are very friendly, you'd need to get about four or five of them, as they most likely would get picked on by bigger birds, at least at first, and that way they can hang together. Sort of a power-in-numbers thing.

Geese are a whole nuther thing as all I know of my neighbor's geese is they just hang out together by themselves, and her ducks just hang out together by themselves.

I have Indian Runner ducks, Turkens, and Sapphire Splash chickens.

In my personal experience plymouth barred rock is amazing to have around my other chickens, guinea fowl, and people. They are so gentle and very easy going.
My second choice would be my sliver laced wyandotte.
I have very friendly birds in general but its worth mentioning I've had zero issues with Easter Eggers(they just won't want the cuddles from a human😂)
