Need help

Ok sooo!!! I had got some 4 weeks old chicks!! And the next two to three weeks they were ok (I had them in a box with shavings) so the next two weeks I changed te shavings to hay! And now I look on the bottom of them there is like feathers that feel like they have been in water!!(they are kinda hard!) and there is no feathers or fuzz on the bottom of them!!! I'm not sure how to tell if they have love or anything could u guys help!?!?!?!

maybe the hay is harboring some kind of insect

Good question...might switch back to shavings to see if the condition improves?? Or you could dust the birds and bedding with a poultry lice killer? Good luck to you!
