Need ideas for possum proofing

I have about a 6 inch gap, graduating down, at the top of the pen on two sides where the slanted metal roof meets the top of the pen, which is a converted dog kennel. How do I close this gap? I'm afraid a predator will get on the roof and then crawl thru the gap and then they'll be in the pen. How can I attach hardware cloth to metal? What else can I use? Help!

hog nose rings........but you'll have to use needle nose pliers to close......

or you could weave slick wire between the hardware cloth and the chainlink.......

you also need to attach to roof......
