I use food grade DE and mix it in with the sand. It drys it out and keeps the smell down. If they eat it, it won't hurt them. I'm in florida and everything is sand.

In the barn we have a heavy black hard clayish dirt.....when you dig down about 18 inches it goes to red clay/dirt and is super hard but then most everywhere else on the place it is pretty sandy

yea you caught that huh? I only smoke outside nasty habit been trying to quit for years.
