1 week old baby chick is wheezing and clicking when she breathes, I am going to give her tylan 50 as suggested on BYC but need help administering. Since she is breathing through her mouth how can I be safe administering orally? I am so scared and I don't want to lose her.

When I had a 2 week old chick who was clicking upon breathing, and I noticed that she had a puffy side that was the result of an injury. It was a leaking air sac, and I had to insert a small needle under the skin to squeeze the air out. I think others have experienced clicking respirations with other breathing or heart problems.

I am not sure how much she weighs. She is only a week old so I am assuming only a few ounces
If she is only a week old she probably only weighs ~70 to 100 grams, so the dose ore one that tiny would be 0.03 ml to 0.04 ml three to four times a day, which would be about 2 drops from the end of a needle-less syringe.
