My coop is finished except for the ramp. I read in one of the threads that a good rule of thumb is to make it twice long as it is the hight of the chicken entry from the ground.
Hiwever, need info on the width as well on the rungs (size and spacing). Here are few pictures of my small coop (8x5 ft).

I have some 2x6 planks. The length is about 6 ft so I can get the proper angle (I learned as a rule of thumb for the slope to be 6/12 which is about 26 degrees).
Not sure about width and rungs.

x2 on don't overthink it. My ramp is a 2x12 that I had laying around w/1x2 rungs on it, installs with hooks + eye bolts. Some may say it's steep angle due to my coop height and the downward sloped ground, but the chickens have zero problems going up/down it every day

Thanks for info. Are rungs 1”(3/4) tall and 2” (1 3/4“ ) wide while 12” long?

Don't overthink it.

Here is a pic of the roost ramp. It was too steep at first, so I added a stump under it.

Both the roost ramp and the door ramps are simply boards covered in old carpeting with small wood strips added cross ways.
