Hopefully and i read on review if u hold a chicken from its neck if they bring their feet up their a rooster if they dangle their legs as in the picture its a pullet does sound pretty dumb right?

Yeah that's an old wives tail. If it were that easy there would be fewer people out there with roosters to rehome.

Really, holding a bird by the neck is very safe. Even expensive exotic parrots are held by the neck. I know that it looks bad, but the legs of a bird are much more fragile than the neck, and sometimes holding by the body compresses the breathing and a bird can not breathe.

I love how everyone is so focused on the dangling chicken and not answering my post if i wanted to know if dangling a chicken is harmful or cruel id ask susan Sarandon
They look healthy to me, but too young to sex for my old eyes. Some breeds are sexable at birth, some not until they start crowing. Pointed neck feathers is my favorite way to tell on my Orpingtons. Sometimes they do not crow until after the start mating the hens!
