Need Opinions on moving...

No, you are not paying more for less - actually, you are paying more for more - ROOM! FREEDOM!
You will be SO glad you did.

Right now, we live in Public Housing, with 5 bedrms, 1.5 bathrms, small kit., dining/living rm combo - with public yards/not fenced.
for just over $400 monthly.
We are getting ready to move to just over 6 acres that has a spring-fed pond, spring-fed creek, various fruit trees, 3 Black Walnut trees, 3 sides of property already fenced.
One rm cabin, overlooking the pond
House is a 2 bedrm, 1 bathrm, living rm, eat-in kit, with a one car carport. We are downsizing our family - 2 teens, myself, and DFiance' - I have 4 older children ages/19-22 yrs old.
All this to pay for, but, with an extremely strict budget for us to follow, since my DFiance' doesn't want me to go back to work after we move, for as long as I can.

Where we live now, I can't even have a flower garden. Everything gets destroyed, either by children/adults, or by maintenance people.

well, I would want to move as well to the property with acerage cause I love my privacy! you are still crazy though! or maybe not......I guess your DH will have to do all the lifting

Thanks Guys!!! City inspection is at the end of the week, and we are Ok'd to start moving things in next weekend!!! Now I need to find a wood shed to convert into a coop! We are so nervous and excited at the same time!!!

Ok, here is a picture of the Duplex we live in now, and below that are pictures of the new house. Pay not attention to the landscaping, the house was just finished and the Landscaping is to come next.

Back yard. Pretty much the whole 5 acres is wooded like this, we can't wait for the trees to get their leaves! We love ths sounds beneath these oaks!
