Need quick Indian runner advice please

At the store and wanting a companion for our harliquin. Do Indian runners make good pets? Are they more dosile than the harliquin?

Everyone I know that has Runners loves them. Based on what I've read they are likely calmer than Welshies. Runners would be the next breed I add (aside from Calls that I'll keep separately). Only problem is I have one drake and he's Pekin. That would definitely not work with Runner females. I have 2 Pekins, 2 Rouens, 2 Welshies, 1 Cayuga & 1 Buff.
