Need Roo Help!

Don't worry, When your roo is bored with the hens, he will take the offensive, and attack!
It's what roos do!:old
Not necessarily! I have a dozen roos - some with hens and some in a bachelor flock - and there's not a nasty one in the bunch! Sure, we have a couple with weird fetishes ... like Simpleton, who hates shoelaces ... but for the most part they're either indifferent to people, or so friendly that they'll ride on your shoulder all afternoon. Most of my boys follow visitors around, mooching for treats or a ride. Luckily, they're all bantams, so rides aren't an issue ... except for the surprise when an unsuspecting guest suddenly has a bird trying to land on their shoulder! One of these days, I'm gonna get that on video. It can be highly entertaining!

How many do you want? I'll share!
I have Nankin bantams, which pretty much explains their docile personalities. And I have so many fellas because the little buggers are critically endangered, according to The Livestock Conservancy watchdogs. The genetic pool is so very, very small (under 1,000 adults, worldwide) that I can't bear to send any to freezer camp. It would be like eating a spotted owl! So ... here they are ... populating my ever-growing Bachelor Flock. I can't say I regret keeping them. They're such funny little birds, with such wonderfully quirky personalities and sweet dispositions, that I can honestly say that my fellas are my favorites!
