Favorelle Gods and Godesses,

These are 11 week old pullets ( FIFI and COCO) from Ideal. I am noticing one of them is feathering out with more black and not much muff going on. The other has great muff and beard going on and is more of a buff color. I would love critique on if these 2 are good examples as I might want to show.
Also, my gut is telling me that the one with black is a roo.But then that is de bunked as she has less tail feathers and almost no muff or beard yet.
Anyway I thought it weird that they look so different. Which is more the standard?

Do you have some pics that are closer up? And please keep in mind that, though I love Ideal and most of my birds are from them, they don't breed for show quality. If you want SQ, you'll want to get chicks from a breeder. I have 3 faverolles, and though they're some of my favorite girls, none of them can be considered SQ at ALL! In fact, Loco has something going on with her flight feathers where she's never developed anything past the shaft.

And they're both pullets. Faverolles roosters have dramatically different coloring than the hens. They're so beautiful, I wish I could keep one.

They are both pullets. Some of the hatcheries have been producing really smutty females. Male chicks have much more black. I wouldn't show the one with black. Females should have NO black.

Young male left, young female right.

Sorry... just cracked me up. I'll act more appropriate now.
