Hi, my flock recently tested positive for coccidious on Monday and I had 3 to develop sour crop and we isolated them to our garage from the others. 1 passed yesterday morning. My hen Sophia seems to always be upbeat even dealing with this, her crop has went down so I think she’s good with that but most likely still dealing with the cocci. She has lost weight, is there anything to help her get her appetite back? She’ll peck a little at some eggs and I gave her some bread soaked in olive oil with some Greek yogurt last night and she went to town but today she’s a little more picky. She wants to peck around at the garage floor but there’s nothing there to eat. Also, my rooster his crop won’t completely go down it’s still squishyish and Ive massaged and given him olive oil in a syringe to help lubricate. He’ll spit up occasionally afterwards of massaging. With him since he’s still dealing with the sour crop and it smells terrible is there anything other than syringing him with acv and anti fungal cream I should be doing? I had them on corid in the water from Monday to Wednesday then Thursday morning I switched to acv in the water now I’m they’re back on corid in the water. My other 4 girls are doing fine.

This is my first go round with chickens and I’ve read so much it all seems to run together at this point.

Try giving pieces of coconut oil to your rooster instead of olive oil, that way he won't choke or drown.
Do they also have plain water to drink? Sophie will eat when she's hungry, I think she's figured out how to get special food. What do they eat as their main food?

I haven’t given them just plain water since my vet recommended the corid treatment on Monday. Since she had the sour crop as well but it was fine this morning, would small amounts of crumbles be ok or should I keep feeding her eggs and yogurt like I’ve read? They normally eat layers crumbles but I had to get pellets last time and did not realize it wasn’t medicated.

You're really only supposed to feed medicated feed to chicks, not all the time.
Always supply fresh clean water along side water with anything in it.
You can feed her crumbles.

They are pooping even though it’s just liquid since they haven’t really ate much. My thought would be that’s a good sign that things are moving right? A friend said they were pooping out the infection but idk if that’s actually true.
