Need some advice... don't know what to do!

I'd look into Nesting box curtains (after she has healed up from being separated). It may give her more privacy, and draw less attention to her when she is laying.

I'd try this before putting the peepers on! If it is only happening in the nesting box the peepers might not be necessary!

Thank you for your help... my chickens investigate every box before laying and my fear is she would still get caught and pecked. I thought of curtains before, but know my hens behavior. I think the peepers will eliminate the problem for me in this instance
