My two turkeys have grown to the size of small European cars and are creating problems with the chickens. During the evening panic hour when the chickens go into the coop the turkey will sit in the door and peck at the chickens coming up the ramp blocking them from entering. Also some of the chickens have gotten sick of getting stepped on and picked on at sunset so they are flying on top of the coop and into the trees about 15 feet up. Its shear pandemonium when the sun sets.
Where can I put the turkeys at night short of building a new coop? Should I just make a new door for the coop that is too small for the turkeys? I think the stupid birds would just sit on the edge blocking the smaller door and still block the chickens. I don't want to leave any birds unlocked at night as we have many predators in the area.
