need some advice please

well i guess i got excited to early.i had to try to force feed her lastnight and all day today ive barely been able to get anything in her.ive tried different things and i cant find anything she will eat..she sleeps more then shes awake.something else ive noticed that worries me.the side of her face thats always turned toward the floor is pale and she cant keep that eye open to well.so now im wondering if this is neurological and if it can be cured...

I am sorry to hear this, got your hopes up yesterday for a while, only to have them dashed. I don't know what to tell you, if she's not eating or drinking she won't last long. I hate to say it but sometimes maybe they know better than us when it's time. I would love to be able to give you some encouragment but you've done just about everything imagineable to help her, I don't know what else to say. Except I am sorry. Is she pooping still?

poo is the same.i mixed her regular food with some of the baby food and added water to make it mushy more then watery, and sat on the floor with her.my house rooster came over and started eating it,then let her know it was there.so she did eat some on her own,but its just not enough im afraid.im more concerned right now with getting her to eat then i am the vits. if she doesnt eat the vits. arent gonna do any good any way.ill keep trying and checking her.if i feel she really becomes ematiated ill put her done.had a hen that happened to,and even tho i got her to start eating it did know good.the vet said they get to a point of no return and it doesnt matter how much they eat, they cant bounce back.i guess time will tell.im still gonna call my vet and see if he will give me some prednisone.im croosing my fingers he will.thanks for hanging in there with me...

I will keep my fingers crossed for your girl. If you can get the food up higher you may have more luck with her eating. I don't think they are able to lift their heads back far enough to swallow properly if the food is on the floor. See if you can raise the bowl a bit. Did you try boiled eggs? Live Mealworms? Anything at this point.

for heather and kyrose.

well i tried to get some food into heather this morning.she just hangs her head and closes her eyes like shes dead.i dip her beak into the food and she will smack her beak like you smack your lips, but i dont know how much she gets in.her breast bone is really protruding and shes really emaciated.last time i had a hen like that the vet said they get to a point of no return, like an anorexic.no matter how much they eat its to late.so im thinking it might be time to let her go cause for the life of me i cant think of 1 more thing to do for her.such a shame she really is a beautiful and very sweet little girl..
