NEED SOME ADVICE

My chicken run has a roof over it, but rain still blows in. So i put bedding down but should it be wood shavings, remember: it will get wet

I see you're in Scotland, so you probably get quite a bit of rain! Sand would be perfect for your run. Drains well, easy to clean etc. Here's a good thread on it:

Also consider logs or rocks birds can stand on. They would do so naturally. The organic material used over ground will store moisture which may promote fungi and provide habitat for pests.

Maybe put a tarp or something on the run wall where the most rain blows in?
Is this an all year thing or worse in winter?
