Need some hatching buddies - Hatching May 24-28

Loving all the chick pictures! I'm so excited for everyone! Fingers crossed for lots more healthy baby chicks (and ducks and gosling). We went into lockdown today. Only a few more days to wait!

Day 19 and I have one out and 3 more pipping (out of 24)! First one was pipped before lockdown in the egg turner! He looks fine even though my humidity wasn't very high - mostly 30's. I'm gonna be up all night looking for more!

These were the two biggest pips when I left school this afternoon. There were three others at that time.

I'd bring your humidity a little higher. I've got mine at 75% on day 19, I've got several pips and one out. I do pick up the edge and spritz those with pips at times, but I live in a extremely low humidity area. I have to soak sponges in water and put them in there to get much humidity!

Wish I could help, but I don't know!

Came home to my first pip on a speckled sussex egg. Looks like it is pretty new...so lets say around 9:30 pm on day 19 (or 1.5 hours into day 20, however you want to look at it). Hoping I wake up to a chick in the morning!

Do you mean the membrane that attaches it to the shell? Just leave it alone and it should come off itself. Sometimes it takes awhile, but if you cut it and it's not ready it could bleed to death.

Ming-Ming is just fine this morning. The cord took care of itself. He's now in the brooder with Moo-Shu. (Anyone know anything about sexing a duckling? One has dark bill and feet the others is lighter, almost a buff color.)

My 3rd egg passed I think. I'm assuming he should be atleast internally pipped by now. Seeing how I set all the eggs at the same time. I candled him and didn't see him move. I also noticed his egg didn't seem warm like the other two eggs were.

I'm leaving him in the incubator just in case. Hatch date isn't until tomorrow anyways.
