I guess cutting the bottoms out of the cartons would negate the making it easier to clean up the hatcher idea, darn!
It won't change the cleanup because the bottom of the shell remains intact. What I had was a plastic - I don't know what it is called. I got it when I got my incubator. Here is a picture -
Here are a few threads about carton hatching. I am beginning to wonder if it isn't the best thing to do. Also apparently some people don't cut the bottom out of the cartons also. Now I am confused! LOL
