Need some hatching buddies - Hatching May 24-28

I candled last night. All four are still alive and kicking a lot!

I got 10 shipped eggs- most were pretty scrambled from the start. Of the three EEs that showed growth on day three, all 3 are going really strong. I have one other that showed growth a little late- a Silver Spangled Hamburg with a ruptured air cell. That little one is also coming along really well. It's the one I want the most! The air cell is pretty much staying in the big end of the egg, in the "right" spot, but it definitely moves if the egg tilts or turns. I was so surprised when it developed at all. I hope it can hatch! I know in an incubator it helps to put these types of eggs into an egg carton with the big end up, but mine are under a broody hen, so I'm not sure if there is much I can do. Fingers crossed everything works out!

Hi guys...mind if I join? I have 4 pekin eggs due to hatch on the 27th or 28th! Started with 6 but two were not fertilized. At last candle a few days ago I saw movement in all four

Can't wait to see how these little guys do! I hatched some RIR x WLH a few weeks ago in my classroom. Had a really good hatch! I am doing this hatch at home with my kids...we are excited for the fun to begin! Good luck to all in the next week or so

I brought the 'bator home with me, I just couldn't risk leaving them in the classroom for a 4 day weekend.

That's neat that they do this with the kids.
I had a neighbor boy call me and ask if I had any eggs by chance. He only needed one to take to school. This was a while back. Funny, the whole neighborhood knows that I'm a chicken lady! He was so lucky, I had just gotten some eggs that day. Had them in my resting room for my shipped eggs. I told him how the egg was to be handled, or should say, not handled too much, and very carefully. He was very grateful. Helped with his grade to be able to bring one in, because this was the project he had chosen out of a few given. Of course the whole class gets to enjoy when they hatch.

Well I have 3 ducklings out of my staggered hatch. They started early too! The 3rd one JUST popped out, I heard it and checked and there it was. So cute!

2 more eggs left, if they're on time, should be pipped here in 4 days. If they're early too, any day now.

Just finished my Easter hatch and now I'm gnawing my fingernails up to the elbows, waiting for this batch to go into lockdown. I hope there are loads of fuzzy butts for everyone!
