I have to say this they sure do take ther time getting out of the shell. we are 13 hours and counting for the first one to get out. It is driving me nuts for it keep peeping and making noise but all I can see is a beak

Hurrah! Got the picture on...the date is incorrect...I took these this morning. I took some of all of them but these had the prettiest colors.

It's day 21 for us and as of this morning we had 4 hatch, 1 pip, and one egg with no sign of hatching yet. One chick hatched on day 17 -- those photos are on my blog (link below). When I can get better photos of the whole brood I'll post them on this thread too!

Stevenson, hope you get some Delawares. They are a pretty bird.
And, who said they had a pip for 13 hrs? That's ok, they sometimes take their time..as long as you see a beak, you can tell if it's breathing..wait a good 24 hrs. Bet you have a baby by then.
