Need some help how do you ship turkeys

I haven't done it personally, but I do know first and foremost you need to get the proper shipping boxes. You aren't allowed to ship them in just any kind of box, but have to use the ones approved by the Postal Service and other carriers. You also have to prep your birds per the shipping rules (provide them with moisture, etc.). You will have to find out what post office closest to your local airport will accept them for shipping, and what time you will have to have the birds there to make sure they get shipped on time. There have been a few people on here that have shipped them, so they could probably fill in the gaps with more detailed information.

1. Call your local post office and ask them if they will ship live adult poultry, if the answer is no, you will not be able to ship them.

2. You need to read the post above , and get poultry boxes approved by Postal service, large enough to hold your turkeys, my guess is you will probably need to get 4 boxes.

3. You will need to ship them next day delivery (Postal regulations).
