Need some help on identifying breeds and possible gender

Yep, too early, sorry... generally 6-8 weeks is when they really start showing gender, but your Silkie mixes may take longer... Silkies are notoriously hard to sex...
bummer, it's gonna stink to have to keep any roos for a long time.... I am sure I'll get attached and we just can't keep them :/

Sorry... :(
Yeah, you get very attached... fortunately we can have roos... unfortunately most our OEGB's ended up being roos and my fiance refuses to give any of them up, lol... gotta build more housing, ugh...

Chick #4
3 weeks old- I originally thought it could be a Sicillian Buttercup mix but it doesn't have the distinct comb but rather a single comb, Any idea on gender?

Today at 4 weeks old I noticed this little one has a pea comb. The person I got the eggs from suspects the dad of this one to be his Wheaten Ameraucana. Not sure what else it is mixed with. But I also noticed the beginnings of spurs. I know I have read hens can get them too but with it already having a comb and now noticing the spurs I am so afraid this one might be a roo :(

Almost all chicks will get spur bumps, so that is not a factor in determining rooage, lol... if you can get a new shot of just the comb, close up and clear, might be able to tell you more...

Oh brother, I've looked at my chicks so many times I'm getting them all confused now. Took another look this morning and the chipmunk chick doesn't even have a pea comb it's a single comb. What I thought was a pea comb is actually a v comb on my silkie? Couldn't get a clear shot of that one though.

Oh, good! I thought it looked like a single comb and was trying to figure out what I couldn't see, lol.
Sorry, but for now I'm leaning to cockerel. Give it more time though, cuz it is still early.
The weird v comb you are seeing on the Silkie cross is a walnut or partial walnut comb. It's not gonna help on telling gender unless it gets huge quickly. Most of those stay fairly small, so you'll have to wait a while for telling gender on it.

thanks. I'm sure in a few weeks I'll have a better idea what everyone is. I just have a bad feeling that probably 4 out of 6 of my chicks are roos. If that is the case I will probably sell them all and hatch some more eggs because I can't incorporate just 2 pullets in with my 4 hens. I want at least 4 pullets. Thanks for your help. I'll post some more pics in a few weeks.

I would not leap to cockeral by any means. That is still pretty small for a comb, and not a whole lot of red...although at 3 weeks it could be the early signs...it is NOT a sure thing. I've had a lot of pullets look precocious in yellow at this age but mature early into early laying hens.

Also, with the green legs and something of a muff, it looks like this chick could be from the Wheaten Ameraucana roo, then it would be an EE, and that feather color patterning is almost always female for an EE.
