Hi,
don't know if I should come to you with this but don't know who else would understand! Although you may just think me strange!!

Years ago I bought some chickens from my neighbor this is when I really became fascinated by them! I won't tell you all about each of them but just one in particular!

She was a Buff Ameraucana! She was almost instantly my favorite, I called her Cheekie and I grew to love this little hen with all my heart and never imagined just how much she meant to me! When I came out to feed them, I would just call her and they would all come running! Their roost was a bit high so every night when I would come out to take a head count, I would have to take her and put her up onto the roost, she would just look at me like why are you bugging me I was perfectly fine!!
Sunday night I went out to close the door and she was not in her spot, I did become quite nervous about this and went looking around for her! I saw her under a lilac bush, she had been killed! I thought for a moment she might have decided to set on some eggs but that sadly was not the case. I started to cry so hard I could hardly even breathe, ok you think I'm a nut case right?

well I'm still not over it and it still hurts alot! I miss her terribly!!! A few weeks ago I found my gander trying to kill my little Cochin roo and booted him off of the poor little guy, but he did die!
I am believing now that this mean goose killed her!! I don't understand why either, just a dum goose I suppose! They were out in the open but the goose must have pounced on her when she wasn't paying attention, she always liked taking her dust bath under there!! I guess that's it! Thankyou for your understanding which I know I will have!!!! Oh I'm looking to rehome this goose!!!

. Looks like a goose dinner tonight (if it had been me when I kicked him the stupid bird woulda gone 40ft). I have a bird that im bonded with to. A 4 month BO banty, Millie D Uccle cross I call Cedar (she always has been addicted to wood shavings) and recently A few of my birds got what turned out to be pink eye but I originaly thought was MG and I just couldnt think of culling her. Thank fully she didnt get the pink eye but if she was killed or had to be culled I would be mourning for MONTHS you have a right to feel miserable and still miss her. I dont know what else to say. Just Im SO SO SOO sorry
