Need suggestions for battling ants

Just wanted to update. I tried "Amdro Fire Ant bait" and I'm very satisfied with the results. I like that its a bait (granule form) because I can see the ants carrying it into their mound, and they seem to collect all of it, which means less of a chance that my geese will get into it. Oh, and you dont have to water it in, like some other poisons. I still block off the area around the ants mound using the little wire barrier I posted on my first post - keeps my geese from wandering over into what I just sprinkled and keeps their feet away from those biting ants. The directions on the ant killer say to leave the mound undisturbed for a week. After a week, when I check the mound, so sign of ants!! I still hose off the area heavily before I remove the little wire fence thing. The only thing now is that I dont have enough wire fences to put around all the mounds that I want to eliminate
